LOCAL 211, UAW CHARLIE CHATHAM SCHOLARSHIP AWARD   AWARDS Ten (6) awards totaling $500.00 each. These will be one-year scholarship awards disbursed by the school. These awards are not to interfere with other scholarship awards and must be used before the next year’s scholarship drawing.   ELIGIBILITY To be eligible you must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in college. Applicant must either be (a) a dependent son, daughter, dependent grandchild, the spouse of a UAW Local 211 member or retiree in good standing, (b) a dependent son, daughter, dependent grandchild or the surviving spouse of a deceased member or retiree in good standing when he/she died. Applicant must provide proof of enrollment. Only one (1) scholarship will be awarded per UAW sponsor.   APPLICATIONS Applications must be picked up by the applicant or their UAW sponsor at the Local 211, UAW Hall or at Plant 1 and Plant 2 Work Centers or the chairperson from your unit. Applicants may submit only one (1) application. Applications must be completely filled out. Applications must be received at the Local 211 Hall by 4:00 P.M, on Friday, November 17, 2017.   AWARDS BASED ON Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a lottery-type drawing held at the third shift (7:45 A.M.) GM Unit meeting in December 2017.   SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE The Local 211 UAW Scholarship Committee consists of Gert Hahn, David Allman and Ricky Johns. If a question arises it will be brought to the Executive Board officers and 211 Scholarship Committee.
