A variety of colorants are produced at Ferro Plastics Colorants Division in Stryker, Ohio. Ferro is a major worldwide producer of concentrates for the plastic industry, offering thousands of colorants and additives in pellet form. Its plastic colorants and additives enhance performance properties of plastic products and add distinctive special effects in appliance, automotive, agricultural, household furnishing and packaging applications. In Stryker, Ferro operates a twenty-four hour, 3 shift, production facility and employs approximately 130 people. About 85 of these people are members of UAW Local 211, working in the production and maintenance departments. The manufacturing facility in Stryker has been in operation for more than twenty-five years.
