Legislative

Legislative Action

The legislative committee is the political and legislative arm of the local union and is a vital workplace political activator. It is the basic link at work with the membership. It helps conduct voter registration and V-CAP drives and writes letters and emails to elected representatives. The committee is responsible for publicizing the issues and positions of public officials and utilizes the UAW's "Worker to Worker" program in "Get Out the Vote" campaigns. It also works closely with the Defiance Area CAP Council.
