GRANDPARENT/GRANDCHILDREN DAY 2022
On Thursday, July 14 the UAW Maulfair Park was filled with children,
young adults, parents and grandparents They were there to
participate in Grandparent/Grandchildren Day sponsored by the UAW
Local 211 Retirees.
What a wonderful day it was. The weather was just perfect. The events for the children was non stop. We had Folly Face Painting, Lininger Pony Rides, Party Expression bouncy rides, Lilly Creek Farms horse drawn carriage, Divine Living snow cones, and Defiance Fire Department, who gave out fire hats to the kids and showed them how the fire truck works. We also had Sheriff Douglas Engel and the department comfort dog to show us the dogs purpose for the victims in need.
There is nothing more enjoyable then to watch the youngsters having a blast. Some of the kids said they couldn't wait until next year. We also had Vern Martin and Wally Budzinski and their band members singing and playing music the whole time. Thank you guys for the wonderful entertainment, it was great.
