VA PICNIC 2013

UAW 211 joined with UAW 1005, Parma and UAW 14, Toledo on Sunday July 21st to give the Veterans at the Sandusky Veterans Home a day of food, bingo, music, fun and appreciation. The smiles on the faces of our Veterans who live there was absolutely precious. It was a fun filled day with many retirees and active UAW members coming together to make this a great Event. This year’s event was headed up by the Veterans Committee of UAW 1005, Parma and many Sponsors. Defiance UAW 211 made a monetary donation along with Chris Mendez of the Veterans Committee and Lenard Barraza along with Kathy Rickenberg of the Retirees helping out for the event. The Veterans Committee of 211 is heading up next year’s event and will need many volunteers and Sponsors please keep this in mind for July of 2014.
